Founded in 2018 by Morgan, IlluminatED Training and Development began as a Teen Academic Coaching service with a mission to help young people identify their strengths and unlock their potential. As a secondary school teacher, Morgan was passionate about supporting teens in making decisions about their future, especially as they explored career paths and personal growth.

 

In her teaching, Morgan saw the need for a more collective approach, where students could learn the principles of wellbeing and positive psychology together. This inspired her to create the Positive Psychology and Wellbeing course for senior high school students. The course was an immediate success, empowering students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially in a safe, supportive environment. 

 

Morgan then realized that educators and youth workers could also benefit from these principles. In response, she developed an eight-week Introduction to Positive Psychology Course for Professionals. This course has transformed workplaces, enhancing employee collaboration, engagement, and overall culture by focusing on wellbeing, both personally and professionally.

 

As Morgan engaged with parents and community leaders, she frequently heard comments like, “I wish I had access to a course like this!” This feedback led her to envision a broader impact: what if both students and their parents, could learn these principles together? How might this foster stronger relationships, healthier communities, and more supportive environments at home and work?

 

This vision became the foundation of IlluminatED’s broader mission: to be a catalyst for change, creating happier, healthier homes and communities by focusing on wellbeing and personal growth. IlluminatED empowers individuals to shine bright, inspiring others to do the same—ultimately creating a positive ripple effect that can transform schools, workplaces, and beyond.
